The sweet version of Nolan in the center of Athens, the well-known urban Asian restaurant, is now a reality. The team responsible for the famous culinary projects of Nolanverse, namely Kostas Pisiotis, Sotiris Kontizas and Manos Babounis, decided to take the next step and start exploring “sweeter” paths. After many months of preparations, Sweet Nolan came to life in a minimal space in their familiar neighborhood of Syntagma, on Voulis Street.
Sweet Nolan follows the philosophy of the already successful Nolan project; it is, essentially, a confectionary that prepares daily special desserts, inspired by all the experiences their creators have collected. They avoid over-decorating their desserts (same as the space of the confectionary); instead, the desserts are delicate and characterized by their doughs, creams and fruit, which look very simple but actually hide knowledge and techniques behind them known only by few.
What you can try at Sweet Nolan
Pasteis de nata, Basque cheesecakes (the burnt Basque cheesecake which is gaining in popularity, this time whole, en papillote), cookies, brioche, chocobreads, choux, tarte tatin, lemon tarts and tsoureki (sweet bread) with anko paste are just a few of the delicious desserts that you can try at Sweet Nolan.
