As stated, the Athens Medical Center group, as the leader of the Greek consortium (Athens Medical Center group 70%, Bioiatriki 30%) for Elliniko, announces the signing of a Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation with its subsidiary Lamda Development, ELLINIKO S.A., for the creation of a state-of-the-art and innovative Healthcare Park within the development of Elliniko.
The goal of the Healthcare Park, which, as mentioned, will be of international standards, is to offer a wide range of high-quality and innovative health and wellness services to Greeks and foreign residents and visitors of Elliniko.
The Healthcare Park will be built in a prime and easily accessible location next to The Ellinikon Mall and will cover an area of approximately 6,000 square meters.
The parties have signed a exclusivity clause and the signing of the final agreement is expected to take place in the third quarter of 2024, with the operation of the Healthcare Park scheduled within 2027.
As clarified, upon the signing of the final agreement, all the specific details of the project implementation will be announced.
At this point, it is worth mentioning that the owner of the Athens Medical Center, the Apostolopoulos family, has stated in the past that their goal is to lead in developments in the field of private healthcare.
In this context, their recent investment of 25 million euros in the Medical Interbalkan Thessaloniki and the creation of a model oncology center in a new four-story building next to the existing clinic come into play. Additionally, modern digital and hybrid operating rooms have been established, along with the procurement of a digital PET/CT scanner.
Furthermore, the new equipment includes a third state-of-the-art linear accelerator, as well as new hospital beds, doctors’ offices, an educational center, and finally, an outdoor parking area with a capacity of 700 spaces.
