In Athens – and specifically in the southern coastline, the famous Athens Riviera – you will discover a lot of free beaches where you can enjoy the blue waters without an entrance fee. However, you will also find many wonderful organized beaches. From the cosmopolitan Astir in Vouliagmeni to the beaches near Sounio, if a sunbed and a beach bar are among your essentials, these are your options!
Astir Beach, Vouliagmeni
Definitely the most esthetic beach of the Athens Riviera. The iconic Astir Beach promises a unique seaside experience.

Akti tou Iliou, in Alimos, is one of the organized beaches closest to the center of Athens. Palm trees, sunbeds, umbrellas and a beach bar are waiting for you to help you spend a delightful day.

Reduced Entrance is available for:
- Students aged 6 to 15 years and school trip escorts.
- Large families (With the presentation of the relevant certified identity card of the Large Families Association).
- People over 75 years old (With the presentation of an ID card or passport or other identification document).
- Students (With the presentation of a student ID).
- Soldiers (serving military service).
- Unemployed (With the presentation of the relevant unemployment card).
- Group (Group of more than 14 people).
Free entrance is available for:
- Children up to 5 years old
- People with disabilities with a disability percentage of 67% or higher and upon producing the relevant documents. The accompanying person pays an entrance fee of 5 euros
- The leader or guide of each group (one person free of charge, per 14 persons)
Lake Vouliagmeni, Vouliagmeni

Ever Eden Beach, Anavyssos
About 20 minutes from Sounio, the organized beach of Ever Eden Beach Resort in Anavyssos is ideal for enjoying swimming and relaxing under your umbrella on the beach or on the deck. Here you will find a bar, a restaurant, water sports and an aqua park, among other things.

Leaving Vouliagmeni and taking the coastal avenue towards Sounio, you will come across Grand Resort Lagonissi, a perfectly organized luxury resort, with a beautiful beach in front of the hotel.

40 euros for 2 people (2 sunbeds + 1 umbrella + 500ml water) | 30 euros for 1 person (1 sunbed + 1 umbrella + 500ml water). For children 6-12 years old the entrance fee is 4 euros. For children under 8 years old entrance is free of charge.

Parking is available in the premises free of charge on weekdays. On the weekends it costs 10 euros for cars and 6 euros for motorcycles.
In a wonderful location, right below the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio, is the Aegeon Beach Hotel and its beach is truly a sight to behold, thanks to its unique view of the famous monument. On the beach, there are 2 beach bars and a restaurant.

In a boho setting, Tahiti Beach Bar in Kalivia offers comfortable sunbeds with cushions for relaxing moments with your coffee, drink, and snack, as well as endless swims. The following prices apply for the sunbeds:
Weekdays: 20 euros per set (1 umbrella and 2 sunbeds) for the first two rows | 15 euros per set from the third row onwards
Weekends and Holidays: 40 euros per set (1 umbrella and 2 sunbeds) for the first two rows | 30 euros from the third row onwards

A’ Plaz Voulas – Athines By the Sea
New amenities such as sunbeds are available at the A’ Plaz Voula, also known as Athines By The Sea. Within the premises of A’ Plaz Voula, there are restaurants like DOT Beach Vibes and Bloom, which offer food, coffee, and drinks not only within their premises, but also on the sunbeds for swimmers, through special menus. Specifically, the following apply:
On weekdays, from Monday to Friday, the regular ticket costs 7.50 euros per person. On weekends, the entrance ticket is 9.00 euros per person. The reduced ticket costs 4.00 euros and is eligible for:
• Students with a valid student ID.
• Adults over 65 years old
• Children from 6 to 12 years old
Free entry is granted to: children up to 5 years old, people with disabilities, and one accompanying person.
For residents of the Municipality of Vari Voula Vouliagmeni, entrance is free, and special prices apply for umbrella sets.

The organized beach of Vincci Ever Eden Beach Resort in Anavyssos is ideal for enjoying your swim, relaxing under your umbrella on the beach, or on the deck.

Krabo Beach
A beach with white sand, an excellent restaurant and beach bar with boho aesthetic, this is one of the hottest places to be in the Athens Riviera.
Prices for the beach are as follows:

Weekends and holidays: 90 euros per set of sunbeds

This beach is located just a few kilometers outside of the the city centre in the area of Loutra, Alimos. Bikini Beach Bar is there to offer you cold drinks and sunbeds at the following prices:

Weekends and holidays: 24 euros per set of sunbeds
Castus Beach Bar
Wooden deocrations and boho aesthetic are the main characteristics of Castus Beach Bar which will transport you to an ethnic scenery. The beach bar and the sounds of the sea offer a unique holiday experience. Admission in Castus is free, however on the Weekends there is a fee for sunbeds as follows:
