What the beach at Ellinikon is going to look like
The new free-to-access beach, which will be directly linked to the Metropolitan Park of Ellinikon, will have an aquarium on one side and a state-of-the-art marina on the other.

The vision for the Ellinikon development project is the design of an innovative space for the city of Athens, with emphasis on the creation of a Metropolitan Park of a national scale. Equally important is the goal of displaying the coastal front, which will be free for everyone to access.
A series of new and valuable landmarks of intricate architectural design will decorate the renovated coastal area. Spaces for recreation and food & drink will be built all across the beach. Additionally, the coastal road will be pedestrianised, so that pedestrians and cyclists can move across the area safely.
The most beautiful coastal front of Europe
The renewed coastal zone of Ellinikon will be a unique landmark, with a total length of 3,5 km (which will also include a coastal housing development and a luxury hotel next to a small boat marina). At the same time, a new free-to-access beach will be developed.
On one side of the free-to-access beach you’ll be able to find a world class aquarium and, on the other side, the large state-of-the-art marina. The plans for the marina include a variety of stores and entertainment venues, in addition to the impressive 6 star Marina Exclusive Hotel.
The new, sandy beach will be about a km long and approximately 50 meters wide. The beach will be directly linked to the Metropolitan Park through the main walkway. It will be easily accessible by tram, bus or car and interconnected to the bikeways of the Metropolitan Park.
The Aquarium will become an important landmark for the sea life and the fragile sea ecosystems.
The Marina (apartment) Tower -with an unrestricted views of the Metropolitan Park and the blue of the Athenian Riviera- will be an impressive addition to the new coastal scenery.
The Integrated Resort, a 5 star complete complex at the end of the marina with high-end services and facilities, and the Marina Exclusive Hotel, an impressive 6 star hotel right in front of the new marina with restaurants and stores, will attract visitors from all over the globe.
The Coastal Housing Development will showcase the lovely coastal line, offering low rise houses right in front of a small marina and at the same time, will extend the borders of the Metropolitan Park since it will be connected to it.
