George Dikaios Constructions: The company which recognizes that when someone buys a property, they make a lifetime investment
We learn about the history of Dikaios Constructions and the projects they are currently running in the southern suburbs.

George Dikaios was the one who undertook to manage the affairs of Dikaios Constructions when his father decided to retire from the construction industry, charging him with the responsibility of the succession. The company, founded in 1980 by Konstantinos Dikaios, managed to keep its strength during the ten-year economic crisis when the entire market suffered strong shocks and came out unscathed. Recently, it has undertaken new residential projects in the wider geographical area of the southern suburbs, following the expanded development of construction activity recorded from Kallithea, Nea Smyrni, and Palaio Faliro to Voula.
“The businesses that stayed in the market were always well-run. Those who watched their movements in the previous years, knew where to invest their capital, and continued to be active consistently, are those who still exist”, says George Dikaios to NouPou.
His main concern is to continue to develop as a professional, always keeping in mind that when someone buys a property, they make a lifetime investment. “With patience and hard work, in a highly competitive market, I believe that over the years, I will seek to constantly improve. I am interested in knowing that the people who come to me will recognize that they have acquired from Dikaios a good commercial property, a reliable and quality apartment”.
In previous years, the company also had a strong presence in public projects, with its founder Konstantinos Dikaios having built the heliport of Aegina in the ‘90s. George Dikaios has participated in the maintenance of school complexes in the Municipality of Vari, Voula, and Vouliagmeni, as well as several other public projects. Its construction portfolio has, from time to time, included projects on behalf of PPC in its various substations throughout Greece, which were implemented by Konstantinos Dikaios.
“Sea has a primary role in the development of the southern suburbs”
A civil engineer by profession, George Dikaios chose to develop his business in the southern suburbs and the entire Attica spectrum. As he says, the prospects offered by the coastal front for the coming years are visible. “The sea plays a primary role and attracts investments in the greater region.”
In addition to the residential real estate development, Dikaios Construction is also considering the construction of office facilities in areas that need new properties of this nature. One such example is Piraeus. “We are also interested in the development of tourist infrastructure in popular tourist destinations as well as in the Athenian Riviera.”
In Athens, as he says, quality plots that offer a good view, and a quiet and welcoming neighborhood for their residents, are becoming rarer. “That is why we also have a specific plan for the areas where we will develop real estate, offering a quality of life. We are interested in Nea Smyrni, which connects the center of Athens to the southern sector. We are also considering our activity in Glyfada and Voula,” says George Dikaios.
Projects in progress
Right now, he is building a seven-story apartment building in Nea Smyrni. At the same time, he had just completed another residential construction in Saronida. In the case of Saronida, the property was energy class B+, maintaining all the specifications required by law in the field of thermal insulation and thermal protection. For the heating and cooling of the property, the fan coil solution was chosen, which is more economical in consumption than traditional oil burners. Regarding the building he is constructing in Nea Smyrni, it is energy class A and has a planted roof. It consists of floor apartments, each of which has an area of 110 square meters. An exception is the seventh floor, which has a 17 square meter roof connected to the main space forming a maisonette. Each apartment has a storage space and a parking space with an electric car charging infrastructure.
Mr. Dikaios, having been in the profession since 2008, has had several different experiences. He expresses his broader philosophy, which he says centers on respecting every person who comes to buy a home. “Someone who turns to us is not buying something consumable, but a house in which they will live the rest of their lives. In a period of major increases in all building materials, we have not proceeded with any price readjustment in the apartments we have”.
The Ellinikon gives a solid boost to construction
Referring to the southern sector, he emphasizes that there has recently been a strong construction recovery. “The development of The Ellinikon plays a major role in this, which gives a strong boost to the construction activity. The Ellinikon will upgrade the coastal front as a whole, a fact that pushes us to create quality and aesthetically upgraded constructions”.
